Women’s Health Psychology at The Rosy Room, Springfield Lakes Psychology Practice

The Rosy Room, Psychology Practice Springfield Lakes offers compassionate and caring psychological counselling for women of all ages facing women’s health issues.

Our nurturing clinic is a place to retreat and be truly cared for by our professional and qualified staff. Our Principal Psychologist Jessica Edkins has specialty training in Health Psychology, and a particular passion for working with women’s health issues, especially perinatal and reproductive health.

Health psychology focuses on the mind body connection and the way our physical health impacts on our mental health and visa versa. Jessica has a particular passion and strength for guiding women through difficult transitions at every stage in their lives, from adolescence to young adulthood through to post-menopause.  She brings specialised understanding to women adjusting to the changes of pregnancy and motherhood, to postnatal depression and anxiety, to miscarriages, stillbirths and the loss of a baby, as well as infertility issues, including the rollercoaster of  IVF treatment, negotiating donor conception or surrogacy. Jessica also assists women undergoing cancer treatment and other chronic health conditions such as renal disease, diabetes, obesity and gastric surgery. What’s more, Jessica has a passion for nutrition and can help in assisting women to find a healthy relationship with food and their bodies, overcoming eating disorders, yo-yo dieting and body dysmorphia.
